A Certain Ratio – To Each is the band’s second album, originally released on Factory Records in 1981 and produced by Martin Hannett is a true cult-classic. The reissue we have has been mastered from the original Factory tapes.
It’s been said they sound like a funky version of Joy Division, but they did share a label, a place and time and an iconic producer who brought a very distinct touch to everything he worked on. What this band actually have is a tight, tight rhythm section. Worth listening to just for that. British post-punk funk doesn’t get better.
