While the vintage sounds of Contou have all but confirmed Benin's status as a mecca for 70s Afro grooves, the country's northern territories have remained obscured and untapped, concealing a particularly remarkable band that championed a uniquely twisted sound. Orchestre Super Borgou de Parakou's infectiously eclectic mix of Soul, Afro-Beat, Rumba and Pachanga fused with Bariba and Dendi folklore is unleashed for the first time.
